Ingredients:
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic Gold® Oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 Tablespoons chili powder
- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- Garlic Gold® Sea Salt Nuggets and Freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste
- 6 cups mixed light salad greens
- 3 cups tortilla chips, plain or nacho cheese flavored (optional)
- 2 avocados, peeled and diced
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
For dressing:
- Juice of 1 fresh lime
- 1 Teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 3 Tablespoons Garlic Gold®
- 1 Teaspoon sugar (optional)
- ¼ Teaspoon ground cumin
Heat Garlic Gold® Oil in large heavy-bottomed skillet (such as cast iron) over medium heat until fragrant, about 3 minutes. Add onion and chili powder and cook, stirring frequently, for 3-5 minutes, or until onion is softened.
Stir in ground turkey and cook, stirring frequently but gently so the ground turkey pieces remain in clumps not tiny pieces, until turkey is fully cooked and lightly browned, about 8 minutes. Season with Garlic Gold® Sea Salt Nuggets.
While the turkey mixture is cooling, whisk together dressing ingredients to combine. Garlic Gold® Sea Salt Nuggets and freshly ground pepper to taste; set aside to cool.
To assemble salad, toss salad greens with half of the dressing mixture in large salad bowl. Put cooled turkey on top of dressed greens, then layer avocados, cheese, chips, and diced tomato. Pour remaining dressing over salad and serve immediately.
