How to: Steam Green Beans in 3 Steps

steps

Just in time for Thanksgiving, here’s a great way to cook green beans! Perfectly tender green beans are easy to prepare, and they’re delicious with lots of crunchy Garlic Gold®.

1. Fill a steamer pot with about two inches of water, then put it on the stove over high heat.

2. Rinse and dry your green beans, then snip off the stem ends. You can leave the wispy, non-stem ends untrimmed.

3. When the water is boiling, put the green beans in the steamer pot and cover. Steam them until they’re just the way you like them — five minutes for al dente, eight minutes for fork tender.

Serve your green beans nice and hot, with Garlic Gold® (Nuggets in Oil) spooned over the top! Your family will love this simple and delicious side dish.

STORY OF GARLIC GOLD®

My father and I are classic, authentic Italians, especially when it comes to food. Together we created in our home kitchen, a toasted garlic and olive oil condiment which can be spooned on to any dish to recreate the taste of Italy in every bite.
