Serves 6-8
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 3 ½ hours
- ½ cup diced onion
- 1 pound ground pork
- 6 Tablespoons Garlic Gold® Oil
- 1 ½ cups dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons Garlic Gold® Nuggets with Italian Herbs
- 3 14.5 ounce cans diced roasted tomatoes
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 pound spaghetti noodles
- Sea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Combine the onion, pork and 4 tablespoons of the Garlic Gold® oil in a large skillet and cook over medium heat. Using the back of a wooden spoon, break the pork into smaller pieces. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the pork is no longer pink and the onions are soft and translucent. Add the wine and allow it to reduce until it is merely a glaze over the pork.
While the pork cooks, pour the Garlic Gold® nuggets and the tomatoes (including their juices) into a crock pot. Add the pork and onions and cook over low for 3 hours.
In the last 20 minutes, slowly stir in the cream. Prepare the pasta according to package directions and drain well, then toss with the last 2 tablespoons of Garlic Gold® oil.
Season the sauce to taste with salt and pepper and serve over the pasta.
