How to: Steam Green Beans in 3 Steps

Just in time for Thanksgiving, here’s a great way to cook green beans! Perfectly tender green beans are easy to prepare, and they’re delicious with lots of crunchy Garlic Gold®.
Instructions:
- Fill a steamer pot with about two inches of water, then put it on the stove over high heat.
- Rinse and dry your green beans, then snip off the stem ends. You can leave the wispy, non-stem ends untrimmed.
- When the water is boiling, put the green beans in the steamer pot and cover. Steam them until they’re just the way you like them — five minutes for al dente, eight minutes for fork tender.
Serve your green beans nice and hot, with Garlic Gold® (Nuggets in Oil) spooned over the top! Your family will love this simple and delicious side dish.
