6 medium or 8 small tangerines
2 Tablespoons Garlic Gold® (Nuggets in Oil)
1 cup fresh mint leaves, large ones torn in half
2 ripe avocados
3 cups or 1 small head butter or other mild leaf lettuce
Additional Garlic Gold Sea Salt Nuggets and freshly ground pepper for garnish
Peel tangerines and cut into ½ inch slices, cutting them in a large bowl so you can reserve 2 Tablespoons of the juice. Set aside the tangerine slices and combine Garlic Gold® (nuggets in oil) with the juice. Peel, pit, and slice the avocados, and toss gently with the Garlic Gold® and tangerine juice mixture.
Tear butter lettuce in small pieces and combine with mint leaves. Either in one large bowl or individual plates, layer lettuce and mint mixture, then tangerine slices, then avocado slices in dressing, and finally garnishing with Garlic Gold® Sea Salt Nuggets and freshly ground pepper. Serves 4-6
Try oranges, tangerines or grapefruit segments. If you add a touch of honey to the dressing, it’s all good, just slice up what you have. Lettuce: use any type really, whatever is in your fridge; and avocado, leave that out too if you don’t have any handy.
